We finally went to a couple of mines I’ve been wanting to visit for years. We were surprised to find such extensive mines and tramways. They weren’t easy to reach. We had to hike up and down a few cliffs to reach both mines.
If you find these mines, keep them quiet. They are gems.

We find a tin can dump at what must be an old mine camp.

This can has been made into a strainer.

Folger's Tea Can.

Looking up at the mine. We'll hike up there and over the ridge.

We find the remains of a collasped tramway tower.

Top of the tramway and mine portal.

Tramway.

Incline shaft.

At the top of the tram.

An adit with blacksmith stump remains.

Dan tests a bridge.

Across the bridge.

Hand winch in the mine.

We couldn't find a date on these papers, but I'm guessing they're old.

Hiking around the ridge, we spot another mine.

We find another tower.

We drop into a canyon and discover more mining artifacts.

We climb higher, back up to the tram tower. This is rough country.

We enter into a side entrance to the mine.

Rails lead into a main chamber.

We find an incline shaft and bridge.

In the main incline shaft.

There are a few levels in this mine.

And huge stopes too. This hill is hollow.

A hand winch.

Lots of stopes.

Looking up in another stope.

Ore chute with a metal gate.

Ore chute and rails.

We climb down to another level.

We find an upside down ore car.

Lots of rails on this lower level.

Dan checks things out.

Dynamite and boxes.

Down some more on a different incline.

Rails.

Dan looks down another stope.

Finally back at the top of the mine, we find an interesting headframe that is partly underground.

Dan under the headframe. Note the ore bin in the background.

Outside, we find the remains of a machine shop with drill sharpener.

Gas forge remains.

Drill sharpener and forge.

This is quite a find. machine shop, ore bin and headframe.

We find a hoist house too!

The ore bin.

Dan on a high cliff.

The hoist.

Engine and hoist.

Compressor.

I'm not sure what this is from. Some sort of press or lathe.

Water pipeline to the mine.

The mine.

We hike over to the tram tower.

Dan and the mine.

The tram tower it isn't in bad condition, considering.

Tram tower.

Hiking down from the mine.

You can see the top of the tramway on the right here. It wasn't easy to get to or photograph.
