Panamint Valley Geoglyph #2

I was out in Panamint Valley and wanted to hunt for a geoglyph site and Native American Indian trail. I found the trail first. I walked portions of it and came across the geoglyph site. It isn’t on the trail but offset close by. The geoglyphs are complex and abstract linear (mostly) closed cell designs. It is an interesting and good-sized site.

As I was wandering around the flatland, I found a small flake site.

Moving up the hill, I come across an old indian trail.

I followed the native trail for a ways. You can see it heading off into the distance on the left. The trail goes for many miles.

Not too far off of the trail, I spot a large set of geoglyphs.

The geoglyphs are hard to see in most places. Here one of them does a long curve and ends at a white focus rock.

I am shooting into the sun for more contrast. The geoglyph shows up a little better.

I am still just poking around one end of the site.

I walk a few hundred feet back to the trail to see if I missed anything, then head back.
