Dan wanted to find a mine he had heard a rumor about in the wilds of the Death Valley backcountry, so off we went. It was a long hike across the scorching desert – normal for the Death Valley area, of course. We didn’t get back to our trucks until after dark, but it was well worth the journey. The mine is remote and rarely visited.
Of course, we left everything there, including the bottles. (Besides being illegal to remove, bottles and artifacts are cheap and add much to the history of the mine out in the field.) Please do the same.
I’m not giving directions to this mine but there are clues. Don’t bother looking for the mine on the map – it isn’t there.
