Once upon a time, there was a phone booth way out in the middle of the Mojave desert. The phone booth was lonely. So people from around the world called it and people would trek out there to answer.

This is a small prospect I’ve wanted to check out for over a decade. I finally decided to track it down. I didn’t have an exact location but a good idea of where it was. So I went out scouting the hills.
This is an interesting little corner of the Mojave. I was surprised to see so many old junked cars out here. It is pretty unusual to see so many in one place but why are they here? They all seem to be missing their engines and drive-trains. One engine could have been used to power equipment at the mine, so why six more?
