Back in 2006, we met up with a few old friends: Wild Bill, Lewis, Cat, Micah, Snow Nymph, Desert Mouse, Dezdan, Brian and family, for this hike to a forgotten and seldom visited mine camp. We stayed up a little too late the night before having a good time and reminiscing but everyone was smiles the next morning. What a great time we had on this trip!
First worked in the 1860s, the mine was one of the earliest in the district. It had a relatively minor production of silver and was soon overshadowed by its neighbors. These days, mine camp is much more interesting than the mine itself, having a few remaining wooden buildings and pieces of equipment intact.
